Exede
Exede Pricing
Exede is our new satellite Internet service that we offer. It is very similar to our previous Wildblue satellite service, but Exede allows for much faster speeds to help meet the growing Internet bandwidth needs of our customers in remote areas. Installation is only $150 when signing a 2 year contract. We offer three different packages to cater to our customers different needs.
Package Monthly Price Data Limit Download Speed/Upload Speed
Exede 10 $49.95 10 Gigabytes 5Mbps/1Mbps
Exede 15 $79.95 15 Gigabytes 5Mbps/1Mbps
Exede 25 $129.95 25 Gigabytes 5Mbps/1Mbps
As you can see by looking at the new packages, the speed is now the same for all packages, the difference in the packages is the amount of data that you get to use each month. To help protect your new equipment, we do still offer our monthly maintenance plan for $4.95 per month. Something that is also new with Exede, is the ability to purchase 1 extra gigabyte of data per month for $10 in case you ever happen to get close to your data limit. Whether you are a current Wildblue customer or you are a potential customer looking for more information, feel free to give us a call at 402-793-5125 for more information!
Bandwidth Tips For Exede Customers
Exede is a nation wide satellite Internet, because that it is being shared with hundreds of thousands of people, Exede limits the usage of how much Internet their customers can use each month. Most people who use Internet for basic things, like e-mail and shopping, won’t have to worry about these limits. If you are a Internet user who likes to listen to their music and watch videos on the Internet, this may worry you a little. That is why we have created a list of different online audio and video services and an approximation of how much data those services use. For reference purposes, there are 1,024 megabytes in 1 gigabyte.
An average 2 hour movie on Netflix uses:
1.5 Gigabytes for Standard Definition
3 Gigabytes for High Definition
Skype Video Chat uses:
10 Megabytes per minute for Standard Definition
40 Megabytes per minute for High Definition
An hour of Pandora Internet radio streaming uses:
60 Megabytes for standard quality
An average 40 minute TV show on Hulu uses:
300 Megabytes for Standard Definition
700 Megabytes for high Definition
Streaming videos on Youtube uses:
5 megabytes per minute at 480p Resolution
9 megabytes per minute at 720p Resolution
13 megabytes per minute at 1080p Resolution
Note: These numbers are just estimates to help our customers try and see which plan would benefit them the best. The amount of data that these services use are out of our control and can go up or down with no notice depending on the quality and the length of the service that you are using. The actual data transfer rate of Exede is an (up to) speed. All new customers are subject to credit approval. For details call our office at 877.668.9749 . Prices are subject to change.
